there and the weather couldn't have been better. I even decided to bring Diesel along! We all met at the shopping
center at the base of Red Rock and all jumped in one vehicle and started our journey up the winding road. As soon as we got out and headed down a trail, Malachi was gone! He bolted. It was
as if he had been cooped up his entire life and was finally free. Remember we had a t-ball game at 830am! I wish I had just
half of the energy he has, I would get so much more done. Diesel seemed to be energized as well because he dragged me left and right and up and down. I just knew that I was going to twist an ankle or better yet, break my neck. I couldn't believe these two. Wild man and wild dog released into the wild! Meanwhile we all caught up with each other lives, managing to avoid unwanted topics and
took in the great scenery and fresh air. What a great idea this was. I really was feeling good. After the 2 mile trail we found a picnic table and broke out the sandwiches I stopped and grabbed from Capriotti's for all of us. And yes, I had a bobbi! Yummmmyyyyy!! Chi climbed a few more rocks and after dragging him away, we started on our journey home. It had felt so great to be around good friends that I didn't want to part for the rest of the day. Soooo.... we all decided to meet up later and go BOWLING!
I think the last time I went bowling I was still in high school. Which was quite perfect because the Red Rock Casino was hosting cosmic bowling night, which is what we would always go to. For those who do not know, cosmic bowling is when they turn off all the regular lights and turn on the black lights. The balls and pins glow in florescent colors. They also rock out hit songs with the videos to go along. Amazingly, I got into a good grove and bowled half decent. The best part was watching Chi bowl. It was great! I laughed so hard I thought I wa
s going to have to go home to change. Of course we taught him to set the ball down and roll grandma style. He would stand there the entire time leaning to the left or to the right, which ever way it seemed the ball needed help to. And when the pins would get knocked down, even if just one, he would jump in such ecstatic joy as if he had won 100 pounds on candy during a weekend get-a-way at Disneyland! You could relax too much though, because if you didn't step up to take your turn, Chi would sneak in and
roll a ball down for you. Once he learned that he had to wait his turn, he would impatiently wait and continually ask with his hand raised high, "My turn?!?!!" We played 3 games and I once again had to drag a not ready to leave just yet Chi to the car. We had a blast! What a great fun filled day it had been. Chi and I slept like logs that night.

I'm glad you had such good friends taking care of you. What a fun day! PS--I love bobbies from Capriotti's, too.
