Brandon's Birthday

Tuesday evening after work I met a few of my friends down at Town Square for dinner. We were celebrating Brandon's birthday. We decided to dine at Texas de Brazil. Only one of us had ever ate there before so it was going to be a new experience for most of us. 'Us' included, Brandon, Sandra, Josh, Christina E., Christina B., CB's lil girl, Anthony, and myself.

Anthony and I got there first and waited for everyone else while we enjoyed a nice glass of wine in the bar. Once everyone arrived we were seated.

We were then told by the host that there was a 60 item salad bar for a taking and the 'men with meat' would be by shortly. Ummm....ok. So up we went to scout out the salad bar. I was initially expecting lettuce and tomatoes and all the fixings. Well, that was there but so was cucumber salad, green bean salad, sauteed mushrooms, peppers, and onions, several different kinds of cheese, deli meats, crackers, and breads, and then there were a few different kinds of soup. YUMMY!

My plate was pretty full when I went back to the table. I had maybe got 2-3 bites into my mouth before the 'men with meat' came. These men dressed in traditional Brazilian outfits carrying 3 foot long scourers full of meat come to your table, announce what it is they have and then serve you pieces. There was everything from fillet minion, top sirloin, bottom sirloin, garlic steak, flank steak, lamb chops, and chicken. It was amazing and the meat was to die for. On top of that they bring dishes of garlic mashed potatoes and sweet fried bananas to the table for you liking too! I was so incredibly stuffed by the end and so incredibly satisfied.

Then Sandra decided to inquire about birthday cake. They in turn brought out a huge piece of cheese cake with a candle on it and then Sandra talked me into ordering the banana's foster for all of us to share. I'm not sure how I even proceeded to eat this but I did. So we sang happy birthday and enjoyed each other's company some more and then drove off our separate ways.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRANDON!

So, you would recommend this place for dinner? I'd seen it there but wondered how it was. Sounds like an experience more than just a meal.

I would absolutely recommend this place. It's great for a couple or a large group. It's fun and amazingly delicious!
