After good behavior and a nap Saturday, Malachi asked if we could go out on the quads. I couldn't say no. He had been so good all week and all day. After several attempts on my part to start his quad we had to wait for Kendal to come over to start it. (He has the magical touch, because he didn't do anything different from what I did.) He just so happened to be out riding that morning and had his quad in the back of his truck, so he unloaded it and we all took off out towards the desert. Another perk to living out in the "boondocks", as some call it.

We went out for about a hour. This is usually Malachi's limit. He is then tired and ready to go home. He is really getting the hang of it now. He just has a habit of not watching where he is going. He likes to look down at the throttle or behind him at the rooster tails he's kicking up.
Sometimes I can't watch because I get soooo nervous and am scared he's going to hurt himself. He has all the proper protective gear though, so that calms me a little bit. I can't imagine what he'll be like at 6. He'll have 3 years of riding under his belt and probably a lot more 'balls'.
