A Night in a Tourist's Shoes

Yesterday my sister came in to town and we all went to the seafood buffet at the Rio. WOW! I haven't been there is sooo long and I had forgot how yummy it is! Between the sushi and crab, we definitely ate our moneys worth. Chi LOVED the crab! After hitting the crab several times over again we of course made our way over to the dessert. They had gelato! Soooo yummy! Kaylie and I had strawberry cheesecake and Sherrie and Chi had chocolate.
Then Kaylie and Chi headed home and Sherrie and I headed to the Red Rock for some gambling.
I took out $100 to gamble with and the thought of even loosing that almost made me nauseous. We started out on some of the slots. I hit a straight flush and was up $10. I cashed out. If I've learned anything, it's to quite while you're ahead. Our city makes all of it's money of the greedy people who can't obied by this philosophy.
I then made my way over to the wheel of fortune. I was hoping that I would have some of the luck Kristi has had on this machine. No luck. That machine quickly ate $30! After another $20 lost to the slots, I told Sherrie I was going to the roulette table. The one game I actually love. I rarely play and when I do I really enjoy it. It's even more fun when you have interesting and fun people playing with you and dealing to you. Which was the case!
I slowly made my way into the game. I was up and then I was down and then up and down. I went this way for a lil bit. I was finally about even. When miraculously I hit the number 9! Twice! And back to back!! ~told ya 9 was my lucky number!~ I was now up $70 and decided to walk away. Everyone at the table was in disbelief that I could leave NOW.
So I went and found Sherrie. She informed me that right after I left for the table she hit 4 aces! So she was up now too! I decided to try my luck at wheel of fortune again, I lost $20. Although technically not MY money. Sherrie and I decided that we DID NOT bring each other luck. I let her be and wondered over by the roulette table again. Most of the same people were there and I was chit chatting with them. The woman I met then insisted that I was her good luck charm because she had two big hits while I was standing there. She insisted that I should sit down and play a lil again. I gave in. After a few hours, and 2 more hits on my 9, I called it quits. I was up $31 and that was after I tipped our dealer $20. Not bad. Plus I had a lot of fun.
Sherrie and I made it home just before midnight and we passed out almost immediately.
